 farewell VA,

hello WA!

Owner's Notice--

Dear beloved clients,

As I prepare to start a new chapter in my life, I'm excited to share the news with you that I'll be relocating out of state in October. While I'll miss our regular sessions, I'm grateful for the time we've spent together and the opportunity to help you relax and rejuvenate.

You can still book your massage appointments with me through the end of September, and I look forward to spending more time with you during these final weeks.

To celebrate our time together, I'm hosting a Farewell Event from October 1st to 3rd! Enjoy complimentary chair massages, soothing tea, and a special goodie bag (while supplies last). It's going to be a wonderful way to wrap up our time together.

Don't wait – book your spot for the Farewell Event and your last massage sessions soon, as time is limited! You can book through my usual scheduling channels.

Thank you for being part of my journey as a massage therapist. I'm so grateful for the trust you've placed in me, and I'm excited to see the continued growth and wellness in your lives.

Warmly,
Lily J Bauer, Owner | LMT

-Our Why

Welcome to Destination Eden Massage Therapy—I’m so glad you’re here.

My name is Lily Bauer, and helping others has been part of who I am for as long as I can remember. As a child, I instinctively soothed my mother’s aching hands and helped relieve tension in my (very athletic) brother’s back—long before I understood the science behind healing touch. Later, when my mother was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, I began to understand just how powerful compassionate, intuitive care can be. She often encouraged me to pursue a career in healthcare, recognizing my natural ability to sense and respond to the body’s needs.

In 2009, I discovered massage therapy through the Minnesota School of Business, where I earned my Associate of Applied Science in Massage Therapy—and everything clicked. Massage became more than a profession; it became my purpose.

I understand that seeking massage therapy can feel vulnerable, and I deeply honor the trust it takes to step into that space. With over 14 years of hands-on experience, I’ve worked with people from all walks of life—each with their own story, challenges, and goals. My role is not just to provide relief, but to empower you with greater awareness of your body, so you can participate actively in your own healing.

At Destination Eden, my intention is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and supported. Whether your goal is to reduce stress, restore mobility, or reconnect with your body, we will work together to help you move toward lasting wellness—one session at a time.

You are not just in good hands—you are in a place where healing begins within.

MODALITIES

Massage therapy sessions are thoughtfully customized to support your individual needs. The modalities below may be used on their own or blended together within a session to encourage relaxation, relieve pain, and support overall wellbeing.

🌿 Relaxation Massage

Relaxation-focused sessions are slow, grounding, and nurturing. These sessions are designed to calm the nervous system, quiet the mind, and allow the body to fully relax into the table. Relaxation modalities may include: ✨ Swedish Massage Light to moderate pressure using long, flowing strokes to promote relaxation and circulation. ✨ Reflexology Focused work on the feet, hands, or ears that correspond to systems throughout the body. ✨ Hot Stone Massage Smooth basalt stones heated in water are used to encourage deep relaxation and muscle softening. ✨ Myofascial Release (Gentle) Sustained, gentle pressure applied to fascia to reduce restriction and support tissue mobility. ✨ Craniosacral Therapy Light, still touch techniques intended to support balance of the craniosacral system and cerebrospinal fluid rhythm. ✨ Lymphatic Drainage Very light, rhythmic strokes designed to encourage lymph flow and help reduce swelling.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👧 Life Stages & Specialized Massage

Massage therapy can be adapted for all ages and life stages. Each session is customized — never a one-size-fits-all approach. ✨ Post-Injury or Post-Surgical Massage May support healing and help prevent compensatory tension elsewhere in the body (with appropriate medical clearance). ✨ Oncology Massage Modifications of massage techniques designed to safely accommodate the side effects of cancer and cancer treatments. ✨ Prenatal Massage Tailored to support the changing body during pregnancy, helping relieve discomfort and promote relaxation. ✨ Geriatric Massage Gentle, supportive work addressing age-related concerns while honoring the importance of compassionate touch. ✨ Pediatric Massage Adapted techniques for children experiencing growing pains, injury recovery, or stress. ✨ Infant Massage A gentle, soothing approach often taught to parents to support bonding and development. Specialized massage modalities should be performed by therapists with appropriate training and certification.

💪 Therapeutic Massage

Therapeutic massage focuses on relieving pain, restoring mobility, and addressing muscular or postural imbalances. Techniques may be direct and specific or gentle and assisted, depending on your comfort level and goals. It is normal to experience mild tenderness or temporary discomfort during therapeutic work, as long as you remain relaxed and breathing comfortably. Potential benefits may include: • Decreased pain and tension • Increased range of motion • Improved circulation • Greater ease of movement Therapeutic modalities may include: ✨ Deep Tissue Massage Works into deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue using slow, deliberate pressure. ✨ Thai Massage Combines acupressure, assisted stretching, and rhythmic compression influenced by Ayurvedic principles. ✨ Trigger Point Therapy Focused pressure applied to specific areas of tension to help release referred pain patterns. ✨ Myofascial Release (Therapeutic) Sustained holds applied until fascial restrictions soften and lengthen. ✨ Sports Massage Integrates active and passive stretching, range-of-motion techniques, and neuromuscular work to support performance and recovery.

🦶 Enhancements

Enhancements may be added to any session to support relaxation, skin health, or therapeutic outcomes. ✨ Aromatherapy The use of 100% pure essential oils to promote wellbeing, applied through diffusion or diluted into oils, lotions, salts, or scrubs. ✨ Sugar Scrubs Natural exfoliation using fine or coarse sugar blends to soften skin without the drying effects of salt. ✨ Hot Stones May be incorporated into relaxation or therapeutic sessions to encourage deeper muscle release. ✨ Body Wraps Uses ingredients such as clay, mud, or seaweed, chosen for their unique properties that may help detoxify, soften skin, or balance oil production.
